Alpha Classes are part of the Active Learning Program of Haven Academics, where students take the lead in creating
“Student-Initiated Classes” based on topics they wish to study.
Students initiate classes, seek collaborators, and undertake self-established challenges to take a step closer to their individual
aptitudes and dreams

1. The types of classes encouraged in Alpha Class are as follows:
1) Areas of personal interest that students have always wanted to study.
2) Subjects beyond the curriculum offered by our school, exploring other subjects existing in the world.
3) Subjects necessary for progressing toward one’s future dreams.
4) Studies that can contribute to one’s relationship with God.
5) Studies focused on understanding social trends and related issues from a Christian perspective.

2. When preparing for Alpha Class, the essential aspects to consider, contemplate, and research include:
1) Meaningful audience.
2) Social values.
3) Christian values.
4) Personal values.
5) Content related to study/research:
– Motivation and purpose.
– Pre-existing study/research.
– Detailed content of study/research.
– Methodology of study/research.
– Uniqueness compared to other studies/research.

3. Haven Christian School expects the following effects through Alpha Class:
1) Cultivation of the ability to identify and solve problems independently.
2) Provision of an education curriculum not limited to conventional subjects.
